Career Booster Days for Undergraduates
🔥 With a little interview practice, you can become a LOT better at explaining your core strengths.
Sarah was thrilled to be back at the EDHEC Career Booster days this week, facilitating workshops for third year undergraduate students about interview preparation and pitching themselves.
Day 1:
Sarah coached small groups of students on typical interview questions, preparing and practicing speaking of their core strengths. She guided them to give each other encouragement and feedback for improvement.
Day 2:
This time the small groups planned and practiced answers to the opening question “Tell me about yourself.” Students gave each other feedback to create brief, engaging pitches to be used in interviews and networking situations.
What did students think of the Career Booster days?
🔸 “It really prepared us adequately for future interviews and job positions.”
🔸 “Answered a lot of my questions.”
🔸 “They were interactive helping me to put my learning directly into practice.”
🔸 “Fun and interactive.”
🔸 “The coaches were really inspiring.”
🔸 “It allowed me to be able to work on my pitch but also how I present myself in a more fluid and powerful way.”
With gratitude to Carole Iacono and Joyce Cuff for the opportunity to work with EDHEC Global Business again, and fellow coach Shaun Ching.
PS. The Nanyang Business School building at NTU is a very beautiful place to work, with expansive, breezy, wood-constructed breakout areas. Plus a nice coffee shop :)
