Flora

A passionate and knowledgeable educator, I have developed a wealth of experience as a teacher, leader, coach and trainer in three prestigious international schools in Asia.

I am fortunate to live and teach in Singapore, with its wide range of excellent schools, forward-thinking educational practitioners and thriving education sector. It is an excellent environment in which to develop and grow as an educator.

My fascination for coaching developed as a curriculum team leader in Singapore. The insights that I acquired about leadership during my tenure as a middle leader piqued my interest in the philosophy and techniques of coaching.

I have been successful in achieving the following coaching qualifications: Coaching for Performance Accredited Coach (CfPAC); ILM-endorsed Performance Coach for Leadership; ILM-endorsed certificate in Coaching Supervision; qualified coach trainer with Coaching Culture at Work; qualified trainer for Emergency First Response course; LivingWorks registered trainer for Applied Suicide Intervention Skills Training (ASIST) course.

I was fortunate to meet an equally passionate and like-minded colleague, Sarah Aldous; working in close collaboration, we successfully developed and embedded a culture of transformational coaching at a leading international school in South East Asia.

In partnership with Sarah, I planned, led and delivered a range of different coaching workshops to groups and teams, as well as leading more personalised coaching programmes delivered in both English and Mandarin. The aforementioned programmes have focused on areas such as conflict resolution, embracing changes in leadership, and hosting “generative thinking” team meetings.

I am confident that my infectious enthusiasm, combined with my multi-faceted coaching skill set, will inspire and empower a wide range of educators and school leaders, enabling them to embark on a transformational coaching journey.

Sarah

I am a committed and caring educator and team leader. Thanks to almost two decades of work as an educator, I have learned to bring out the best in adults and young people through my compassionate questioning and thoughtful engagement. Working in Canada, the UK, Hong Kong, and Singapore has helped me learn to relate to others with both expertise and humility.

I am currently leading a large team in a high-performing international school. Supporting and developing my staff members brings me joy - and brings positive results to our organisation. Being coached and becoming a coach has further transformed me and my teaching and leadership.

I radiate calmness. Those who work with me are able to experience my sense of abundance and groundedness, which lead them to be able to see new perspectives or possibilities.

I am a Coaching for Performance Accredited Coach (CfPAC) and an ILM-endorsed Performance Coach for Leadership. I hold an ILM-endorsed certificate in Coaching Supervision and I am a qualified coach trainer with Coaching Culture at Work. I am a qualified trainer for Emergency First Response courses.

I’m fortunate to work with Flora to design and lead leadership and coaching workshops. We have embedded a coaching culture at our workplace, which is impacting staff and students. Our portfolio of projects include coach training, leadership coaching and mentoring, coach supervision, and ongoing coach education and empowerment. We have also created lessons for students about life skills such as understanding their emotions, dealing with conflict, communicating well, and setting goals.

My coaching clients appreciate the safe and inspiring space I provide for them to explore their thinking. I am able to help them uncover their larger life purpose and meaning, while working towards tangible goals. With their permission, I allow my faith to guide me as I incorporate my coachees’ spiritual or religious selves in the conversations.
